Some facts about Swine Flu

This information was sent by a friend, and we thought you might be interested:

“Some facts about Swine Flu that you won’t get from the mainstream media:

Just got sick of the swine flu propaganda, so I quickly researched. This is what I found:

Swine Flu deaths in the USA: 9
Swine Flu deaths Internationally: 86
(http://health.yahoo.com/news/healthday/usclosertoviableswineflushot.html)

And what about the regular flu:

Influenza deaths: 63,729 per year, 5,310 per month, 1,225 per week, 174 per day, 7 per hour.

So why all the international fuss?

Well, it has a precedent. In 1976 the US went on a swine flu vaccine program after only 200 cases and 1 death. This program cost $135 million and they had to halt it because the vaccine caused neurological problems and 25 deaths (per the link below, LA times).

Pharmaceutical firms make a lot of money on vaccines. See these two links. One company got a billion dollar contract for the Avian flu.

Now, this is just me researching 5 minutes.

So you can pass this to all your friends and tell them not to be scared of government propaganda, but to find out for themselves.

Two links:

Food for thought.

Stay informed before panicking.

I heard on the news (while channel flicking as I don’t generally watch the news :) ) that Swine flu is now being considered no more potent that ‘ordinary’ flu. Why? Because the US which has now had more ‘experience’ with it has noted it so. Some people will no doubt take comfort from this.

I wonder if we are not approaching the point where the media has cried ‘Wolf’ once too often…? Or will we remain ‘addicts of hysteria and sensationalism’? :)

On the BBC news this morning they say that there is now the first extremely ill patient with Swine Flu. He is allegedly a man of 45 from Scotland with no underlying medical conditions which has caused the medical authorities to have grave concerns.

Thanks for putting this post together – with all things I think our best form of defence is to stay well informed!
