Pedometer update

Well, I have been very unprofessional by not posting this update as I said I would. Once I re-calibrated the pedometer to decrease its sensitivity, it seemed much more accurate. And guess what? It still registers about 3500 steps for a 30 minute walk. Add that in with the usual walking to the washing line, around the house, around the supermarket, etc, and it is not unusual to well exceed 10,000 steps for the day. Even on my sedentary days when I am glued to the computer, it’s close to 9,000 steps.

So this tiny little thing is keeping me focussed and trying to achieve a very simple goal every day.

What a terrific idea! I need to wear one–I’d probably be surprised to see how many steps I walk in a day–then I could use it to set goals for improvement–Hmmmm… you got me thinking!
