Do good, Feel good

So it seems that those people with a belief in doing unto others are healthier.

A growing body of research is showing that people who care about others tend to be healthier and happier. Makes sense, doesn’t it? If we focus outwards on others’ needs, obviously there are others in our life. It has been recognized for some time that we all need social interaction. And if we don’t have others to relate to and care about, than we focus internally which is usually negative.

More importantly, a belief in a higher power gives our life structure, meaning and purpose.

This article discusses it in more depth.

Fascinating!

I do believe that is true–a perfect time of the year to point that out! There are so many ways for people to give to others, and during the holidays sometimes it is the most appreciated and needed.

(I’ve also heard that people who have animals live longer–must be the caregiver in them.)

    Have a very happy Thanksgiving :) ~Nicole
